DR. VIJAY PENDAKUR is principal and founder of Vijay Pendakur Consulting. A true multi-sector organizational leader, Pendakur has held senior roles at four companies: Salesforce, Dropbox, VMware, and Zynga. He has also served as the Robert W. and Elizabeth C. Staley Dean of Students at Cornell University. In his time at the largest Ivy League institution, he was named Presidential Advisor for Diversity and Equity as part of a new approach to campus-wide transformation.

His 2016 book Closing the Opportunity Gap represents one of the few book-length works on how to graduate underserved college students and is still used by campus leaders today to inform strategy. Pendakur has served as an advisor to the Chief Diversity Officer of the National Institutes of Health, and he serves on the institute teaching faculty of the Race and Equity Center at the University of Southern California. Pendakur is a board advisor for Ezra Coaching, Wisq, and Enterprise Ireland.
